Given Dobyns-Bennett's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while David Crockett is ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dobyns-Bennett's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-3-1. As for David Crockett, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6.
