Johnathan Schroeder Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Oxford got the W thanks in part to Johnathan Schroeder playing the best football he has all season. Schroeder rushed for 188 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the fourth in a row for Oxford, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Schroeder will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Udall on Friday.

Cordell Jordan Delivers Electric Performance Vs Kiowa County
Keeping Schroeder company is Cordell Jordan, a fellow Oxford player. He rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.

West Elk Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Trent Haag
West Elk picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Trent Haag. Haag turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 97 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing, while also rushing for 55 yards on only five carries.
Unfortunately for Sedan, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Haag. Haag rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes the last time he and the Devils duked it out back in September of 2023.

Carson Vineyard Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Carson Vineyard of Argonia/Attica. Vineyard rushed for 128 yards, and also threw for 82 yards and a touchdown on only six passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards dating back to last season.
With the defeat, Argonia/Attica broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. Vineyard and Argonia/Attica will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ashland at 7:00 p.m.
