Walkertown is 6-1 against the Phoenix since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Walkertown Wolfpack will be playing at home against the McMichael Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Walkertown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matches.
Walkertown stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past North Forsyth 87-60 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-21.
It was another big night for Jaylen Wilkerson, who scored 16 points along with five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden Tyson, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, McMichael pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 84-67 to Morehead. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McMichael in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.
Walkertown has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for McMichael, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Walkertown was able to grind out a solid win over the Phoenix in their previous matchup back in January, winning 66-58. Does Walkertown have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
