The Parkwood Wolf Pack won the last time they faced the Union Academy Cardinals, and things went their way on Friday too. Parkwood secured a 59-53 W over Union Academy.
Cameron McKinney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Parkwood's points. Another player making a difference was Treshawn Staton, who scored six points.
Union Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevin Goodson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Shearin, who scored 16 points.
Parkwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Union Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Parkwood will be home for the holidays to greet Buford at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buford is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Union Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Day has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
