Last Saturday, Sierra Lutheran came up short against Mineral County, falling 37-46. Sierra Lutheran's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Shaun Emm, who rushed for 91 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Smith Valley and Carlin were playing football. Smith Valley didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 46-50 to Carlin. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Smith Valley.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Sierra Lutheran and Smith Valley will really light up the scoreboard.
