After a string of eight wins, the Roosevelt Roughriders's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They suffered a rough 83-62 loss at the hands of West Seattle. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Roosevelt in their matchups with West Seattle: they've now lost three in a row.
Roosevelt's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Dollar, who scored 13 points. Pearson Dukes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Roosevelt's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-4. As for West Seattle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Seattle, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellevue at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellevue is coming into the contest with ten straight wins at home, so West Seattle is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
