The Webutuck Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Mount Academy 80-37. Webutuck has struggled against Mount Academy recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Dennis Hofer was on fire for Mount Academy: he shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hofer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bruce Maendel, who scored 12 points along with seven assists.
Webutuck's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webutuck will square off against Hawthorne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Dover at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
