Wewoka is 4-0 against Silo since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wewoka Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Silo Rebels at 6:00 p.m.
Wewoka kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. The matchup between Wewoka and Prague wasn't particularly close, with Wewoka falling 55-37. Wewoka has struggled against Prague recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Sherman Mitchell, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of King Thompkins, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Silo was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Wetumka 68-36 on the road.
Wewoka's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Silo, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Wewoka strolled past Silo when the teams last played back in January of 2020 by a score of 70-51. Does Wewoka have another victory up their sleeve, or will Silo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
