The Overlea Falcons had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They took down Eastern Tech 88-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Eastern Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jericho Wondeye, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Pefianco, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Overlea is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Eastern Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Overlea will head out on the road to take on the Friars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Comets at 5:30 p.m.
