Parkersburg South had a senior duo take command as Turner Garretson threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes and Gage Wright rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Wright is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played. Eli Bartley was another key contributor, gaining 110 total yards and two touchdowns.
Parkersburg South's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46 points. As for Greenbrier East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Parkersburg South will head out on the road to face off against Wheeling Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheeling Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Greenbrier East, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Princeton at 7:00 a.m. Princeton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Greenbrier East likes a good challenge.
