Wilson is 10-0 against Barker since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Wilson Lakemen will look to defend their home court against the Barker Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wilson has five straight victories, Barker has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Wilson gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Albion 54-18 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-8.
Wilson had a senior duo take command as Rian Faery dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals and Peyton McInnis dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Faery hasn't dropped below three steals for seven straight games. Rowan Simpson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Barker couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Wilson back in January, falling 48-13.
Wilson's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Barker, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Wilson against Barker when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 48-13 victory. Does Wilson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Barker turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
