Bishop Kelley is 7-0 against Collinsville since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 3:00 p.m. Collinsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Kelley, who comes in off a win.
Bishop Kelley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Guthrie 68-12 last Friday. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 32 points or more this season.

Bishop Kelley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anne Blankenship led the charge by going 8 of 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. Blankenship has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 30 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Wray, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points in addition to three steals and three blocks.
Blankenship wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bishop Kelley was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Glenpool an easy 55-33 victory. The Cardinals were down 52-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Bishop Kelley will have to keep a close watch on Kate Reid and Anna Appelberg, a pair of players who had a big impact on Collinsville's prior game. Reid went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points, while Appelberg posted seven points and five rebounds.
The win got Bishop Kelley back to even at 4-4. As for Collinsville, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bishop Kelley has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Collinsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bishop Kelley barely slipped by Collinsville when the teams last played back in January, winning 42-41. Does Bishop Kelley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Collinsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
