Basketball Recap: Bishop Mcguinness Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Bishop McGuinness won the last time they faced Glenpool and things went their way on Friday too. The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish came out on top against the Glenpool Warriors by a score of 56-48. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Warriors are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop McGuinness can attribute much of their success to Cooper Bradley, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Stone, who posted eight points.

Bishop McGuinness has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Glenpool, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17.

Coming up, Bishop McGuinness will challenge Oklahoma City S at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma City S is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season. As for Glenpool, they will head out to challenge Harrah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenpool is facing Harrah at the right time seeing as Harrah is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
