Volleyball Recap: West Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Shelby

The West Lincoln Rebels got the win against the Shelby Golden Lions on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was West Lincoln's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

Shayleigh Truesdale had a dynamite game, getting eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Ward, who had 15 digs and five assists.

West Lincoln now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Shelby, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Lincoln will face off against Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shelby, they will host East Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
