It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Noxubee County Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 36-14 win. Noxubee County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Kamario Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 40 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Martavius Wicks, who rushed for 110 yards on only 14 carries.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jabari Watson, who threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
The win was the seventh in a row for Noxubee County, bringing their record for this year to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.6 points per game. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Noxubee County is on the road again on December 2nd and play against Winona at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. One thing working in Winona's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Jefferson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
