After a string of three wins, the Cactus Cobras's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a hard 60-41 fall against JSerra Catholic. While losing is never fun, Cactus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in Arizona, while JSerra Catholic is ranked first in California).
Despite the loss, Cactus still got an impressive performance from Bradey Henige, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Henige's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Hutton, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Cactus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for JSerra Catholic, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Cactus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Peninsula at 4:30 p.m. on December 7th. Peninsula has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matches. JSerra Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Foothill at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th.
