The Darien Blue Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 73-65 to St. Joseph. Darien has struggled against St. Joseph recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Tj Wright, who scored 38 points along with five assists and two steals for St. Joseph. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wright has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Febus, who scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals.
Darien's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Joseph, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Darien will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Staples at 7:00 p.m. Staples presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Darien in Connecticut (Staples is ranked 14th, while Darien is ranked 113th). As for St. Joseph, they will head out on the road to face off against Norwalk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
