Greenon hasn't had much luck against Greeneview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Greenon will be strutting in after a victory while Greeneview will be coming in after a loss.
Greenon came out on top against Houston on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carson Fields made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Greenon got a massive performance out of Logan Blevins, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Blevins is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Grayson Shingler was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Greenon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Greeneview fell victim to West Jefferson and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roughriders.
Greeneview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Hassid, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Greenon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Greeneview, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greeneview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Greenon suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Greeneview in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
