If the North County Knights were expecting to get some payback for the 69-43 defeat against the Meade Mustangs when they previously met in January, then they were left disappointed. North County took a serious blow against Meade last Friday, falling 55-20. The last quarter was a mere formality since it was already 55-20 by the third quarter.
Meade found their leader in underclassman sophomore Ayanni Brown, who had 20 points along with six rebounds.
The loss dropped the Knights' record to 6-13. The win -- their third in a row -- raised the Mustangs' record to 16-4.
The Knights will stay at home against Southern Wednesday. North County is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight. As for Meade, they will go up against Arundel Wednesday. Arundel is coming in off of a big 70-44 win over Broadneck.
