Upper St. Clair came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They greeted the New Year with with a 66-47 win over the Imani Christian Academy Saints. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Saints are ranked 280th).

Imani Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nahjir Norris, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khayree Wilson Jr, who put up 11 points.

Upper St. Clair's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Imani Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
