6A Conference 7 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 7 this week, Lake Braddock beat South County 45-21. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Bruins.
The Stallions fell to Lake Braddock 45-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. David Symmes threw for 250 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 29 yards in the defeat.
Gerry Pannoni's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground LeVaughn Davis chipped in 172 yards. James Simon helped South County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 57 yards.
Symmes put up the best numbers through the air as the Stallions lost to James Poytheris' team. Symmes' favorite target this week was Kevin Quigley, who caught 9 passes for 115 yards.
South County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Stallions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Symmes has thrown for 943 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Quigley has 23 catches for 444 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when T.C. Williams takes on West Potomac. The Titans are currently in third, while the Wolverines are in fourth.
T.C. Williams and West Springfield played the closest game in the league this week, with T.C. Williams eventually emerging with a 14-10 victory. Eshaka Conteh during the win.
