Somerville is still undefeated this season after their contest against Spotswood on Saturday, but Spotswood came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Somerville Pioneers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spotswood Chargers 55-53. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Somerville's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Spotswood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerville will welcome Middlesex at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
