They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Heritage Prep 57-54. This was payback for Christian Learning Academy, who suffered a 47-27 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Heritage Prep saw an underclassman step up: Oluwafimijoba Oyedeji dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Oyedeji's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Kylee Trent was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Heritage Prep struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Christian Learning Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Heritage Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
