Basketball Game Preview: Hiram Hornets vs. Cartersville Hurricanes

Hiram has gone 7-2 against Cartersville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hiram Hornets will be playing at home against the Cartersville Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Hiram humbled Woodland with a 65-6 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Hiram's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. Crawford has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was T'Nasia Nance, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cartersville against Allatoona on Friday as the team secured a 55-15 victory. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Hiram has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Cartersville, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Hiram took a serious blow against Cartersville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 65-33.
