The Henryville Hornets and the Austin Eagles will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Henryville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Henryville beat Salem 58-50. The victory was just what Henryville needed coming off of a 72-37 defeat in their prior game.
Aydan Head went supernova for Henryville, scoring 34 points along with 9 rebounds. The match was Head's third in a row with at least ten points. Cody Cranmer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Austin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Silver Creek 74-46. While losing is never fun, Austin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Silver Creek is ranked 14th).
The losses dropped Henryville to 1-2 and Salem to 0-3.
Henryville strolled past Austin in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 66-52. Does Henryville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Austin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
