The Hope Academy Trojan Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Haines City on the road to the tune of 87-51. The win was familiar territory for Hope Academy who now have nine in a row.
Nathaniel Boyer was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Dwayne Foreman III was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Hope Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Haines City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hope Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Wade Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Haines City will be home for the holidays to greet Excel Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Excel Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Haines City likes a good challenge.
