In what's become a running theme this season, Aptos gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Soquel Knights  an   18-0 shutout. While fans of Aptos might be used to big wins, the 18-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

 In other batting news, Aptos let  Bailey Fulton and  Emma Burgueno loose on the outfield. Fulton  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5, while  Burgueno  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Fulton is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raegan Fulton, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 On Soquel's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Katie Niizawa, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double.
 Aptos' win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Soquel, their loss was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-17.
 Aptos will  challenge Watsonville at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Soquel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotts Valley at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Scotts Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6  runs per game  this season, so Soquel's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
