Hart County is 1-9 against Larue County since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hart County Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Larue County Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hart County beat Monroe County 72-68. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hart County.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact Larue County proved on Monday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Campbellsville. Given Larue County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Campbellsville is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Daniel Allen, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Landon Blakey was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hart County's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Larue County, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Hart County beat Larue County 66-57 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Hart County repeat their success, or does Larue County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
