The Blue Ridge Christian Warriors lost against the Whitefield Academy Lions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Blue Ridge Christian took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitefield Academy. Blue Ridge Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Blue Ridge Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Risa Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brielle Light, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Whitefield Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Wilson out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ann Metcalf, who scored 11 points.
Blue Ridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Whitefield Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Blue Ridge Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-12 loss vs. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool on the 8th. Whitefield Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 37-30 defeat against Shawnee Mission Christian on the 9th.
