The Triplains/Brewster Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 42-34 to Weskan. Triplains/Brewster was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Weskan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Triplains/Brewster still got an impressive performance from Kenlee Mackley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mackley has scored all season. Madison Schroeder was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
Triplains/Brewster bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.1 points per game. As for Weskan, their victory bumped their record up to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triplains/Brewster will face off against Heartland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weskan, they will head out on the road to face off against Wheatland-Grinnell at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wheatland-Grinnell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
