Dillon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-32 victory over Manning on the road. Given Dillon's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Monarchs are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dillon relied on the efforts of Mariah Campbell, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Treasure Davis, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Waccamaw entered their tilt with the Blue Jackets with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Waccamaw walked away with a 40-30 victory over the Blue Jackets on Friday.
Dillon is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Waccamaw, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
