After flying high against Highland Park last week, Dayton came back down to earth. Dayton found themselves the reluctant recipients of a vexing 42-20 punch to the gut against Bound Brook on Friday. The defeat was a vexing one since the Bulldogs were expected to win based on their ranking.
Bryce Cobb didn't help Bound Brook's cause all that much against Hillside last week, but the same can't be said for this game. Cobb went supernova for the Crusaders as he rushed for 183 yards and two TDs on six carries. Patrick Lepoidevin also deserves a shout-out for his three TDs.
The loss dropped Dayton's record to 2-6. Bound Brook's win brought them up to 6-3. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
