Softball Recap: Anderson County Extends Winning Streak to Five

Anderson County extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 21-5 in the process. Everything went their way against the Collins Titans as they made off with a 14-2 win. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

As for Collins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Collins' part, Brooke Peterman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Peterman is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Anderson County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Western Hills on the 8th. As for Collins, they are taking a road trip to take on Boyle County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
