Given Christian Learning Center's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 62nd in Kansas, while Clinton Christian Academy is ranked 249th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Christian Learning Center to victory were Callie Trezona and Rylie Allen. Trezona scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Allen scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Allen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Holly Cain, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Clinton Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Clara Hyke, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and two steals. Carissa Compton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Clinton Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
