Southern Nash hasn't had much luck against Northern Nash recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Southern Nash Firebirds will host the Northern Nash Knights at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Southern Nash sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 victory over Bunn. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Firebirds.

Southern Nash relied on the efforts of George Richardson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards, and Jaden Hartsfield, who posted 15 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave Richardson a new career-high.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northern Nash). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Nash Central 83-55. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Southern Nash better keep an eye on Christian Barnes. He was instrumental in Northern Nash's win, going 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Little, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.
Northern Nash was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nash Central only racked up five assists.
Northern Nash's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Southern Nash, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southern Nash has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35 boards per game. However, it's not like Northern Nash struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Southern Nash was taken down by Northern Nash 74-46 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Southern Nash avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
