It was a good run, but the Faulkner County HomeSchool Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of CHAAMP HomeSchool by a score of 57-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Faulkner County HomeSchool came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 110th in Arkansas, while CHAAMP HomeSchool is ranked 870th in Texas).
Drew Wigley was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds for CHAAMP HomeSchool. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wigley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Hefner, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Faulkner County HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Faulkner County HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. CHAAMP HomeSchool and Tyler HEAT will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Tyler HEAT focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
