Reegan Bryan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bryan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Bryan is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Allen Flickinger and Rocco Price did most of the damage at the plate: Flickinger scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Price scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Michael Underwood Jr, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Tree of Life Christian and Wellington School, and Wellington School kept the tradition alive. The Trojans lost 13-3 to the Jaguars on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Andrew Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Vascura, who scored a run and stole two bases.
Madison Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Tree of Life Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Tree of Life Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madison Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. It's a different story for Tree of Life Christian, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Madison Christian's hitters?
Madison Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Tree of Life Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
