If the Tonasket Tigers were riding high off their 79-35 takedown of the Oroville Hornets last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tonasket took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Tuesday. Tonasket has not had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Tonasket still got an impressive performance from Kristian Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Jade Ramon was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Brewster's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karden Gebbers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gebbers has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brady Wulf, who scored 24 points.
Tonasket has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Brewster, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tonasket will take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brewster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oroville has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21.
