There's no place like home for the Plattsburgh Hornets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They greeted the New Year with with a 65-49 win over Franklin Academy. For Plattsburgh, this counts as revenge for the 53-45 loss Franklin Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bradley Poupore, who scored nine points. Ian Mulverhill was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Plattsburgh has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Franklin Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Plattsburgh will be playing at home against Northeastern Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Plattsburgh is ranked 201st). As for Franklin Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Gouverneur at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
