Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Skates Past Vista Meridian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Christian). They blew past the Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles, posting a 67-36 victory. While the Minutemen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win was the fourth in a row for Liberty Christian, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for Vista Meridian, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Liberty Christian and First Baptist will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Vista Meridian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel Baptist at 3:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Vista Meridian is facing Bethel Baptist at the right time seeing as Bethel Baptist is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
