The Venture Academy Mustangs stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-43 margin over Atwater. Winning may never get old, but Venture Academy sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Mario Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Toriano Woods, Jr., who scored ten points along with four steals.
Venture Academy's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Atwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.
Venture Academy will head out on the road to challenge Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Stone Ridge Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Atwater, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Buhach Colony at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd. Buhach Colony is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
