The Fullington Academy Trojans will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Valwood Valiants at 5:00 p.m. on November 27th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Fullington Academy made easy work of John Hancock Academy and carried off a 58-35 victory. With Fullington Academy ahead 33-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Jaye Beth Womble was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 20 points. Carli Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Valwood sidestepped Open Bible Christian for a 31-28 victory.
Fullington Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Valwood, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything came up roses for Fullington Academy against Valwood in their previous meeting back in February as the squad secured a 66-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fullington Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
