The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They lost to String Theory on the road by a decisive 63-44 margin.
Despite the defeat, Maritime Academy Charter saw an underclassman step up: Zibri Miller dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andy Figueroa, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Maritime Academy Charter struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Maritime Academy Charter dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for String Theory, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Maritime Academy Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Central has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for String Theory, they will head out on the road to challenge Germantown Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
