Wendell is 1-9 against Declo since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wendell Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Declo Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Wendell is hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Wendell lost to Richfield on the road by a decisive 38-22 margin.
Meanwhile, Declo entered their tilt with Aberdeen with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Declo breezed by Aberdeen at home to the tune of 56-7. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-3.
Wendell's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Declo, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Wendell came up short against Declo in their previous meeting back in February, falling 49-42. Can Wendell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
