The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stillman Valley, who took down 42nd ranked Stillman Valley, 42-12.
Lutheran extended the longest winning streak in Big Northern - West this week by beating Oregon, 48-29. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Rock Falls's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Mammosser threw for 212 and three touchdowns and Alex Leaf had 163 yards receiving. On the ground Leaf chipped in 56 yards. Lucas Newburgh helped Rock Falls' passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Rock Falls' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rockets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mammosser has thrown for 1493 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Steven Armoska has 27 catches for 546 yards. Brendon LeBarron leads the league in rushing with 317 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lutheran takes on Mendota. Bruce Bazsali's team is in first place, while the Trojans are in seventh place.
The Crusaders moved up to 76 from 182 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Big Northern - West. Lutheran climbed the ranks as a result of a 48-29 win over the Hawks.
