Nolan Matthews Delivers Best Effort of Season
Nolan Matthews produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lumpkin County to the win on Friday. Matthews rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.
For the season, Matthews has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 120.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging three rushing yards per game.

Pierce Wilson Turns in Season-Best Effort
Greater Atlanta Christian came up short on Friday despite Pierce Wilson delivering his best game to date. Wilson rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Greater Atlanta Christian is undefeated when Wilson posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise.
Greater Atlanta Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. Wilson and Greater Atlanta Christian will face off against Chestatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Benjamin Plemons Has Career-Day on Friday
Benjamin Plemons posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he posted at least 100 rushing yards in the seventh games prior. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Chestatee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Plemons and Chestatee will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Nix Came Up Big in White County's 23-21 Loss
Tripp Nix put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 183 yards and a touchdown.
Chestatee's probably not too fond of Nix given he always seems to get the better of them. Nix rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes the last time he and the War Eagles duked it out back in September of 2023.

Caysen Goss Makes It Two for Chestatee
Another Chestatee player making an appearance on this list is Caysen Goss. He picked up 21 receiving yards.
