The Franklin Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their seventh straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 77-76 to Life Center Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (63), Franklin still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Kiyomi McMiller, who almost dropped a triple-double on 39 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists for Life Center Academy. McMiller is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Shauna Curran, who scored 12 points.
Franklin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Life Center Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will face off against Pennington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pennington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Franklin in New Jersey (Pennington is ranked 23rd, while Franklin is ranked 115th).
