Softball Recap: Toronto Wins Going Away Against Wellsville

Toronto won the last time they faced Wellsville and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Knights put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-11 win. Considering the Red Knights have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Anna Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Lily Sapp was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

Toronto's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Wellsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Toronto is taking a road trip to take on Monroe Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wellsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
