2A-1 Region IV District 13 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Cameron Yoe extended the longest winning streak in 2A-1 Region IV District 13 this week by beating Marlin, 24-14. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Yoemen.
McGregor took down Florence 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Colton Shuffield was the best wideout in the league this week as Cameron Yoe defeated the Bulldogs. Shuffield tallied six receptions for 85 yards.
DANIEL WURSTER was the most productive running back in the league this week. In seven carries, he ran for 117 yards as Troy defeated Marlin.
Caleb Hill put up the best numbers through the air as Little River Academy lost to the Trojans. He finished with 15 completions for 285 yards and four touchdowns. Hill's favorite target this week was Luke Blevins, who caught four passes for 84 yards.
Cameron Yoe's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Yoemen feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jason Kopriva has thrown for 1917 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Shuffield has 35 catches for 615 yards. Keaton Denio leads the league in rushing with 858 yards.
Going into this week's game against the Buffaloes, Cameron Yoe's Kopriva needs 83 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Florence takes on the Yoemen. Paul Smith's team is in eighth place, while Cameron Yoe is in first place.
Lago Vista led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Salado.
