The Dobson Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Dobson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Warriors, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. Given Dobson's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Warriors are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dobson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Bolton, who scored 19 points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Bolton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Donaldson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Even though Red Mountain has not done well against the Toros recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Red Mountain walked away with a 61-52 win over the Toros. 61 seems to be a good number for Red Mountain as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Dobson now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Red Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Dobson came up short against the Mountain Lions when the teams last played back in January, falling 50-40. Will Dobson have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
